Installed ≠ announced
The 162.15 GW and 297.37 GW values are installed capacity at a fixed date. They must not be compared with announced pipelines or manufacturing nameplate capacity.
A formal validation trail for every material quantitative figure displayed in the India Solar Sector Visual Investor Report.
Har material number ko official source, same date, same definition aur same unit ke against dobara verify kiya gaya hai.
The audit compared report figures with current official CEA, MNRE, Ministry of Power and PIB publications available on 05 August 2026.
“Report value” is what the visual report shows. “Official value” preserves the source's original unit wherever useful.

These notes prevent numerically correct figures from being used with the wrong definition.
The 162.15 GW and 297.37 GW values are installed capacity at a fixed date. They must not be compared with announced pipelines or manufacturing nameplate capacity.
The 500 GW value is a 2030 non-fossil capacity target. It is neither today's capacity nor a guaranteed outcome.
The 82.37 and 411.4 GWh figures are CEA planning requirements. They are not commissioned BESS/PSP capacity, awarded capacity or project revenue.
A figure was marked verified only when the definition, date, unit and calculation all reconciled.
Solar, non-fossil, BESS, PSP, target or installed capacity?
The report date and official observation date must match.
MW to GW conversions and percentage denominators were recalculated.
CEA/MNRE data was corroborated with a separate official PIB/MoP publication where available.
Government and statutory sources were prioritized. Aggregators, social media, broker notes and news articles were not used as numeric evidence.
